RYCO in Montenegro Meets British Council

PODGORICA – RYCO Local Branch Officer in Montenegro Mr Edin Koljenović met on Monday Director of British Council Montenegro Ms Vanja Madžgalj. They discussed activities of their respective organizations and deliberated modalities of cooperation between them.

Taking into the account the topics covered by the British Council through supported projects, RYCO recognized common areas and valuable inputs for the next Open Call for Project Proposals, such as linking young people with more creative themes, joint work on designing new products in order to recognize their own personal interests, following modernization and new technology trends.

During the meeting, Ms Madžgalj presented the British Council Montenegro, its activities and ongoing projects, with a special focus on the programs “Digital Cities”, “Active Citizens” and “New Technologies in Education”.

On the other hand, the RYCO Local Branch Officer in Montenegro informed the British Council Director about the RYCO Strategic Conference as well as about the training that the Local Branch Office in Montenegro will organize in September for youth organizations and secondary schools.

Ms Madžgalj gave full support to the further work of the RYCO Local Branch Office. Moreover, she presented the British Council child policy protection program, especially emphasizing online training that contains various child rights conventions and  offered concrete support in exchange of knowledge and expertise.

The both interlocutors agreed that it is important to continue to work on development of partnership between RYCO and the British Council, especially in the framework of upcoming Western Balkan Summit in London.
