Ms Halimi's passion for youth work can be traced back to her pre-professional days while she was volunteering and doing internships in various non-governmental organizations that deal with youth empowerment through literacy. Her interests are broad and so is her background. She launched her career as a translator and interpreter.
In the search for a more creative and fulfilling job Ms Halimi switched to designing architecture that supports the well-being of people on a broader scale, which she still exercises in her spare time. The love for people and the desire to give a direct contribution to a better society is the reason that led her to RYCO. Outside of office, she is always up for a good conversation about self-actualization and metaphysics over coffee or drink.
Her educational background includes a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Pristina, and another B.A. in Architecture from the same university.
Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) is an independently functioning institutional mechanism, founded by the Western Balkans 6 participants (WB 6): Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, aiming to promote the spirit of reconciliation and cooperation between the youth in the region through youth exchange programs.
