On March 20th, the 22nd Governing Board of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) convened online. Chaired by Mr. Hajrulla Çeku, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport of Kosovo*, and co-chaired by Ms. Donika Zogu, Youth Representative of Kosovo, the Board addressed the upcoming conclusion of Secretary General Albert Hani’s mandate on March 31, 2025.
The Board unanimously decided to extend Mr. Hani’s mandate for 3 months until the appointment and handover to his successor are finalized. Reaffirming its full trust in his leadership, the Board authorized Mr. Hani to continue leading RYCO and ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted functioning of its operations during this transitional period.
*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence.
