Capacity Building Training for CSOs and High Schools from North Macedonia successfully organized

Skopje – RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Skopje organized the 7th Capacity Building Training for representatives of civil society organizations and High Schools from North Macedonia.

The training aimed to strengthen the skills and capacities of less experienced civil society organizations’ representatives and High Schools in project design in the areas of youth mobility, regional cooperation, youth activism and intercultural learning.

The training took place in Popova Shapka, from 21 to 23 June 2023, and brought together 18 representatives of the civil society sector and High Schools from different parts of North Macedonia . They got the opportunity to work on developing universal elements of the project application and become familiar with the project cycle management process, as well as the possibilities of creating regional partnerships.

The training was opened by the Head of RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia, Mr. Vladimir Gjorgjevski, and Ms.Jasmina Todorovska- Miteva, National Program Officer of the OSCE Mission to Skopje.

Mr. Gjorgjevski and Mr. Miteva were also engaged as trainers, in order to bring the concepts of project cycle management and regional youth cooperation closer to the participants, as well as to get more acquainted with the challenges of those working with youth in order to further influence on improving the next trainings, projects and funding opportunities. During the last day of the training, the Local Financial and Administration Officer of RYCO, Ms. Elena Atanasova covered the financial and budgeting aspects in the project cycle management process, supporting the participants to plan their project budgets.

At the end of the training, the participants shared their high satisfaction for implementing this training, which motivates and supports the newcomers in planning, applying and managing regional youth projects.
