WESTERN BALKANS – The Advisory Board, one of the three statutory bodies of RYCO, had its 5th meeting on 27 April 2022. The meeting happened online and was facilitated and moderated by the RYCO Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Denis PIPLAŠ.
As the new 2-year mandate period for Advisory Board members began on 29 December 2021, the main aim of the meeting was the familiarization of the participants. Moreover, the goal was to present the structure and responsibilities of the Advisory Board in the overall organizational structure and update members on the current process in the RYCO Secretariat.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Albert HANI, RYCO Secretary General, highlighted the Advisory Board’s importance in strengthening RYCO’s mission and mandate. Ms. Valmira KALLUSHI, Director of Operations, provided a general overview of the organization’s key institutional development processes dated from its establishment until now, while Ms. Matilda KARÇANAJ, RYCO Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, briefed the participants regarding the main achievements of RYCO during 2019-2021 and the drafting of the new Strategy 2022-2024.
The Advisory Board members reflected in their remarks on programmatic importance and fine-tuning operational processes to further enhance RYCO’s image and presence in the region. The meeting concluded with a proactive approach and relevant suggestions from the Advisory Board members that the RYCO Secretariat will follow up.
The next meeting of the Advisory Board is planned for July 2022.
