TIRANA – Through its second Open Call for Project Proposals co-financed by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund, RYCO supported project “Together we learn and grow” implemented by the Albanian and Montenegrin Associations of Italian Teachers. The project’s kick-off meeting attended by the Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Albania took place in Tirana on 25 January 2020.
The meeting began with a training focused on the exchange of experiences between twenty-five Albanian and Montenegrin teachers on intercultural learning and dialogue. Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Albania Mr Kreshnik Loka highlighted the special focus of RYCO in supporting projects that are involving teachers and high schools across the region.
“We are eager to see the expansion of networking between high schools and teachers working together to better support young people of the region in their personal and professional growth,” Mr Loka underlined.
The project “Together we learn and grow” aims to use the Italian language as a tool for communication, social action and cultural enrichment. Through workshops on interculturalism and sessions of tutoring, the project will provide young people with skills to prepare short films, digital photographic exhibitions and exchanges of experiences between themselves and teachers.
RYCO Local Branch Office in Albania wishes success to the both organizations.
