RYCOgnizing Power of Youth in North Macedonia

SKOPJE – Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia Mr Albert Hani participated in a public debate organized by the Union of School Students on the occasion of the Union’s third anniversary and the International Students’ Day which was marked on 17 November. The debate took place at the Europe House Skopje and gathered key stakeholders contributing to the improvement of the Macedonian educational system and civic education.

Mr Hani underlined that the RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia is a strong supporter of secondary schools and highlighted its role in schools’ capacity building.

Moreover, the event discussed the role of youth in the society and the role of solution-oriented stakeholders who work for the good of youth as well as the need for creating an enabling environment for youth.

The discussion witnessed contributions of Minister of Education of North Macedonia Ms Mila Carovska, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia Mr David Geer and UNICEF Representative Ms Patricia Di Giovanni.

The contemporary semi-online public debate was jointly moderated by the Union’s Ms Kalina Kacirkoska and Mr Blendi Hodai who, together with the team of the Union of School Students, underlined the wish for change and hope for future as well as the importance of critical thinking and the path to stronger and more empowered youth.
