RYCO Secretary General Meets Partners and Stakeholders in Serbia 

BELGRADE RYCO Secretary General Mr Albert Hani together with Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Serbia Ms Ivana Antonijević and Youth Representative of Serbia in the RYCO Governing Board Mr Marko Kostić had a series of meetings with partners and stakeholders in Belgrade during this week. 

The meetings were organized during the first official visit of Mr Hani in his capacity as RYCO Secretary General to Serbia. Mr Hani was welcomed by the Local Branch Office in Serbia and had the opportunity to discuss plans for future work and prospective cooperation with representatives of the government as well as other local and international partners. The main aim of the meetings was to present RYCO’s plans for the upcoming period, discuss opportunities for joint approaches towards resolving main challenges of youth in the region, and developing institutional and organizational excellence for RYCO. 

During his stay in Belgrade, separate meetings were organized with the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia Mr Branko Ružić, German Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Mr Thomas Schieb, Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia H.E. Mr Sam Fabrizi, Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia H.E. Mr Jan Braathu, French Ambassador to Serbia  H.E. Mr Jean-Louis Thierry Falconi, and Director of Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Serbia, Montenegro Mr Norbert Beckmann-Dierkes.

The importance of reconciliation in the region was in the focus of these meetings as well as  RYCO’s future plans in connection with this important task. The officials emphasized their unconditional support towards regional cooperation and further institutional development of RYCO.
