WESTERN BALKANS – RYCO Local Branch Office in Serbia and the OSCE Mission to Serbia are organizing the second online meet up within the series of online events “Among RYCO Friends”. The event will take place on Friday, 18 June 2021, at 11 a.m.
“Among Friends: Disco, Disco, Volunteering” will be dedicated to volunteering, its importance for young people and the reconciliation process in the Western Balkan region. The conversations will serve to the young people who have never taken a part in volunteering programs in the region or have never volunteered to get a clear overview on how and what volunteering programs should look like, why it is important to meet their peers, and spend their free time outside of their communities. The discussions will be mainly focused on positive and negative volunteering experiences in Serbia and the Western Balkans. Participants will learn about what makes volunteering great (and what not), that will prepare all of us for the use of the new Regional Cross-Border Volunteer Program.
Be the first to hear more about this special program directly from those in charge of it during the event.

The previous online meet up “From Pain to Project Gain”, held on 8 April 2021, gathered around 80 CSOs and high school representatives from all over Western Balkans in interactive discussion on project writing. Participants had an opportunity to hear from professionals and pools of evaluators, donors, as well as from experienced civil society organizations, important lessons learned through a lot of attempts in project applying processes. Beginner’s Manual for Project Proposal Writing 101, a tool for an easier way to project gain, was also presented on that occasion. This Manual is conceptualized to support the advancement of project writing skills for the successful design of projects and initiatives that can connect the Western Balkan youth. It supports beginner practitioners to understand the structure of grant proposals, develop project elements and create inclusive youth projects.
