RYCO Signs Memorandums of Understanding with Two Faculties in Montenegro

PODGORICA – The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Political Science, University of Montenegro (UCG) and the Faculty of Humanistic Studies, University of Donja Gorica (UDG) on 10 March 2022, paving a path for the further implementation of successful joint activities tackling the youth.

Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Montenegro Mr Edin Koljenović emphasized that cooperation between RYCO and Montenegrin faculties represents a very important step in shaping and strengthening the future generations of journalist from Montenegro as well as their peers from RYCO Contracting Parties in reaching out the youth communities from all around the Western Balkans.

Mr Koljenović used this opportunity to hand over the equipment for students of journalism which they will use during the process of acquiring knowledge and practical experience at their respective faculties. The equipment was provided within the 3-cycled three-month regional Program for Students of Journalism in the Western Balkans, implemented by RYCO with the support of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Thanks to the Program for Students of Journalism, students from all around the region together with their mentors had the opportunity to meet, work on regional and team stories, share their experiences on the Program, and provide inputs, impressions and opinions on how it can be useful for RYCO. Moreover, young journalist actively contributed to the creation of the ‘Hajde!’ platform (www.hajde.media) – a new online meeting place for all young people who are interested in getting to know each other better, and acquiring information on events, news and professional opportunities within the Western Balkan region.
