Migration, mobility, peace, security and innovation are in focus of the Western Balkans Youth Forum 2026, which will bring together young leaders, decision-makers, and high-level representatives of governments from the region and the European Union in Budva, from June 4 to 7, 2026. The Call for participation in the Forum, organized by the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro within the framework of the Berlin Process Chairmanship, is officially open and offers an opportunity for young people to actively participate in regional dialogue and contribute to topics shaping the current developments and future perspectives of the Western Balkans.
In the context of dynamic social and political processes in the region, the Forum will provide a platform for open dialogue, exchange of ideas, and direct engagement of young people with key regional and international actors. Through an interactive format, participants will have the opportunity to contribute to discussions that result in concrete recommendations and solutions.
The program of the Youth Forum will be developed through the interconnection of areas of migration and mobility, peace and security, as well as strengthening skills, creation of new opportunities, and fostering innovation. Through these thematic areas, participants will have the chance to exchange experiences, connect different perspectives and jointly reflect on the role of young people in addressing common challenges in the region, particularly in the context of strengthening peace and security, while at the same time encouraging sustainable development and economic progress.
The call is open to young people aged 18 to 30 from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia who want to be part of regional dialogue and actively contribute to discussions on the future of the Western Balkans. The Forum provides an opportunity to connect with peers from the region, exchange experiences and ideas, as well as to directly engage with decision-makers and other relevant actors.

As one of the key regional initiatives within Berlin Process framework, the Western Balkans Youth Forum continues to strengthen the voice of young people and improve dialogue with decision-makers, confirming the importance of the partnership role of young people in building a more stable, connected and cooperation-driven region.
