The opening panel gathered representatives of the Albanian Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, Municipality of Tirana, City Council of Tirana, ANYN and Student’s associations. Mr Loka highlighted some of the main points on the necessity of having the youth law in Albania in his welcoming address. “The law will create the legal space for young people to demand for services and institutionalize the approach on youth related issues” he said.

He underlined that RYCO can serve as an interlocutor and bring the best practices from the region, especially the cases where the similar laws have been developed and adopted.  Mr Loka briefly presented the new initiative of RYCO to create a network composed by members of parliaments from the Western Balkans to support the future work of the organization.

The meeting continued with the two working group discussions focusing on the most important issues identified as necessary to be part of the future Law.
