RYCO in Montenegro Meets U.S. Embassy Representatives

PODGORICA – RYCO Local Branch Officer in Montenegro Mr Edin Koljenović met with U.S. Embassy in Montenegro Public Affairs Officer Mr Jeff Adler and Embassy’s Public Affairs Department Representative Ms Jelena Vojnović in Podgorica on Tuesday. They discussed opportunities for cooperation in promoting and fostering youth cooperation and mobility in the Western Balkans.

Mr Koljenović introduced the representatives of the Embassy with the unique process of the creation of RYCO, as well as with the organization’s mission and vision. A special focus of the meeting was put on the RYCO Strategic Plan adopted in July this year, as well as the results and implementation of this year’s projects supported by RYCO.

Mr Adler pointed out that the vision of the Western Balkans region is common, especially when it comes to peace and cooperation, and that the Embassy is especially working to empower the youth in this direction. He pointed out that youth entrepreneurship is one of the key directions for the Embassy to pay more attention in the coming period.

The meeting concluded that there are a number of possibilities for different modules of cooperation, especially in the field of youth empowerment as well as information exchange when it comes to creating enabling environment for cooperation and youth mobility in the region.
