Open Call for Nominations: Harmony Hero Award 2025
Organized by RYCO Local Branch Kosovo* and the German Embassy in Kosovo
For the third consecutive year, RYCO Local Branch Kosovo and the German Embassy in Kosovo are proud to launch the Harmony Hero Award, a recognition of young individuals and informal groups from Kosovo who have made outstanding contributions to peacebuilding, reconciliation, and dealing with the past through community-based work.
The Harmony Hero Award celebrates meaningful efforts by youth to foster harmony and dialogue in their communities. By spotlighting these inspiring initiatives, we aim to encourage others to actively engage in building a more peaceful and inclusive society.
What kind of initiatives can be nominated?
We welcome a wide range of youth-led efforts that contribute to peacebuilding, reconciliation, and dealing with the past. These can include but are not limited to, community-based actions that bring people together, raise awareness, or advocate for social justice; creative approaches using art, music, theater, or storytelling to foster understanding and harmony; as well as innovative uses of technology that help promote dialogue or bridge divides. Whether big or small, formal or informal, what matters most is the impact and intention behind the initiative.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Individuals or informal groups aged 15–29 residing in Kosovo.
- Demonstrated commitment and impactful contributions to peacebuilding, reconciliation, and dealing with the past through community-based actions.
- Self-nominations and nominations by others are both welcome.
How to Apply:
All nominations must be submitted via email by sending the completed nomination form along with all supporting documents to awards@rycowb.org within the deadline.

Prizes:
Each winner will receive a €500 cash prize (gross amount) and a Harmony Hero trophy.

Nominations open: July 10, 2025
Deadline to submit: August 10, 2025, 23:59.
Award Ceremony: 4 September, German Residence in Taslixhe, Pristina
