WESTERN BALKANS/JAPAN – The wait is over! The final list of participants for the MIRAI 2026/2027 – Western Balkans Meet Japan: A Bridge into the Future exchange program has been announced!
13 young people from across the Western Balkans are getting ready for a unique journey to Japan, taking place from 20–26 January 2027.
For the seventh consecutive year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA) and the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) are joining forces to bring young people together through cultural exchange, peacebuilding, and mutual understanding.
Since 2018, the MIRAI Program has offered young people the opportunity to explore Japan’s approaches to reconciliation and cooperation, exchange perspectives, and build connections that last beyond the program.
A new group, new perspectives, and a journey ahead!
