Next Stop Belgrade: Regional Leadership Tour Continues in Serbia

Following its first stop in Albania, RYCO’s Leadership Regional Tour continued in Serbia, bringing together senior leadership, institutional partners, and program stakeholders through a series of high-level meetings and field engagements in March 2026.

The visit combined strategic discussions with key partners and direct engagement with RYCO-supported initiatives, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to aligning its priorities with local contexts and the needs of young people across the region.

Throughout the visit, RYCO leadership held meetings with a wide range of institutional and international partners, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, the OSCE Mission to Serbia, the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia, the German Embassy, the French Embassy, as well as representatives of international organizations such as Helvetas Eastern Europe. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, supporting youth mobility, and advancing intercultural dialogue and regional cooperation.

The program also included a media appearance at Euronews, providing an opportunity to highlight RYCO’s strategic direction and the impact of its program.

A key moment of the visit was the engagement with RYCO grantees and youth civil society organizations at Kafe Bar 16, where young people and practitioners shared their experiences and initiatives supported through RYCO programs. This exchange offered valuable networking moments.

In addition to external engagements, the leadership held an internal meeting with the RYCO Local Branch Office in Serbia, focusing on program implementation, operational priorities, and future planning.

The visit concluded with a second round of high-level meetings, including discussions with the Ministry of Tourism and Youth, the Transport Community, and a meeting with the Swiss Ambassador, further strengthening partnerships and exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

The Serbia segment of the Regional Leadership Tour reaffirmed the importance of sustained dialogue with institutional partners and direct engagement with program beneficiaries. By combining policy-level discussions with field insights, the tour continues to ensure that RYCO’s strategic direction reflects the lived experiences of young people across the Western Balkans.

As the tour progresses, RYCO remains committed to deepening regional cooperation and supporting youth-driven initiatives that contribute to reconciliation, mobility, and intercultural learning.
