The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Regional Youth Cooperation Office, Local Branch Office in Serbia (RYCO) invite young people and everyone interested in working with youth to apply for a Y-PEER Educators Training, focused on peer education, peacebuilding, and the promotion of dialogue, tolerance, and mutual understanding.
The aim of the training is to empower a new group of Y-PEER educators who will apply the knowledge and skills gained in their local communities and contribute to fostering a culture of peace, dialogue, and cooperation.
The training will take place from 12 to 15 November in Vrnjačka Banja and will last four days. The working language of the training will be Serbian, and the program will be facilitated by Demir Mekić, a trainer with extensive experience in youth work and knowledge of the Y-PEER methodology.
The organizers will cover travel, accommodation, and meal costs during the training. The Call is open for Serbian citizens who want to contribute to their communities through peer education. We are looking for motivated individuals who:
-
are interested in working with young people and promoting dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding;
-
have experience or an interest in youth work, volunteering, education, activism, peacebuilding or related fields;
-
are ready to actively participate throughout the entire training and apply the knowledge gained after completing the program.
Previous experience in peer education will be considered an advantage in the selection process, but motivation, openness to learning, and willingness to share the knowledge gained with others are equally important.
If you want to strengthen your skills, meet other young people, and contribute to building more open, inclusive, and connected communities, we invite you to apply!
