Every RYCO experience has a story behind it. New friendships, unexpected opportunities, meaningful connections and moments that stay with us long after a project ends.
As RYCO marks its 10th anniversary, we are bringing some of these stories together through a new video campaign featuring our alumni and former grantees from across the Western Balkans.
And this time, we want to hear it from you.
Through a series of short videos, we want to highlight the people and experiences behind RYCO’s work, showing how youth exchanges, regional cooperation and youth-led initiatives can make a difference, both personally and professionally.
Selected stories will be featured across RYCO’s digital communication channels.
Who can apply?
This call is open to:
- RYCO alumni who have participated in a RYCO-supported program, project or youth exchange.
- Former RYCO grantees who have implemented projects or initiatives with RYCO’s support.
Whether your RYCO experience was recent or happened several years ago, we’d love to hear how it has stayed with you.
What kind of stories are we looking for?
We are interested in real experiences, told in your own words.
Did a RYCO exchange introduce you to people who became lifelong friends? Did a project help you develop new skills, discover opportunities or build professional connections? Did it change the way you see your community or the Western Balkans?
Maybe it was one conversation, one experience or one opportunity that made a lasting difference.
There is no perfect answer or specific story we expect you to tell.
We simply want to know what your RYCO experience meant to you, and what stayed with you afterwards.
How can you apply?
Applying is simple! Complete the online application form and share a few details about yourself and your experience.
You will be asked to provide:
- About you: Your full name, current city and Contracting Party.
- Your RYCO experience: The program, project or exchange you participated in or implemented.
- Your availability: Whether you feel comfortable appearing on camera and would be available for a short video recording in your city.
- Your story: Three things that made your RYCO experience meaningful to you, personally or professionally.
- Your contact details: Your email address and phone number so our team can reach you.
No video submission is required at this stage. All you need to do is tell us a little about your experience through the application form.
What happens next?
Selected applicants will be contacted directly by the RYCO team with further information about the campaign, filming arrangements and next steps.
The selected participants will have the opportunity to share their stories in short videos that will become part of RYCO’s digital campaign, connecting different voices and experiences from across the region.
