SARAJEVO – RYCO and South East European Youth Network (SEEYN) signed the Memorandum of Understanding in Sarajevo on 19 August to enhance their cooperation and jointly contribute to the reconciliation in the region and create a brighter future for the Western Balkan youth with youth.
“RYCO is always happy to formalize partnerships with well-established and important organizations from the region which SEEYN certainly is,” RYCO Secretary General Mr Đuro Blanuša said and added that one of the RYCO strategic priorities in the upcoming years is to build and maintain partnerships with like-minded partners at all levels. “Promoting such partnerships will provide RYCO and its partners with opportunities to share learning about good practice, build scale, strengthen the quality and increase impact across the Western Balkans,” Mr Blanuša concluded.
“As a regional peace network active for twenty years in the region, SEEYN finds as important to have RYCO as institutional partner with shared vision of youth, able to fulfill their full potential and creates better region contributing to good neighboring relations for sustainable peace,” SEEYN Executive Director Ms Mirela Rajković pointed out and added that this cooperation should also serve as an example of the quality cooperation among institutions and civil society organizations on the common interest for and with youth from WB.
In line with the memorandum, RYCO and SEEYN already planned joint projects and initiatives that will contribute to regional youth connectivity and cooperation.
