PODGORICA – RYCO Local Branch Office in Montenegro in cooperation and with the support of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro organized the second four-day Capacity Building Training for the representatives of CSOs and high schools from Montenegro on 4 – 7 November in Podgorica.
Seventeen participants from a number of cities and regions in Montenegro attended the training. Strengthening capacities of potential RYCO beneficiaries in project proposal design and implementation of intercultural youth exchange programs are recognized as clear needs thus the program was designed to especially target this areas.
A special focus of this Training was put on strengthening the capacities of high schools as potential beneficiaries but a significant number of selected participants were representatives of civil society organizations, since the synergy and sharing of experiences is a key element of this training program.
While opening the training, RYCO Local Branch Officer in Montenegro Mr Edin Koljenović said that the training is a crucial RYCO activity since it has been created as a result of recognition of the clear need to work on strengthening capacities of civil society organizations and high schools in preparing project proposals, but also implementing intercultural youth exchange programs.
Mr Koljenović thanked the participants for showing the interest to take part in the training, and the OSCE Mission to Montenegro for being a friend and a partner of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Montenegro.
Representative of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro Ms Ivana Vujović emphasized that RYCO is perceived as a key initiative since it works on enhancing youth mobility and social inclusion. She highlighted that this is crucial for the future of young people as this is their chance to change the view on their neighbors through the opportunities that RYCO offers to them.
