TIRANA – Within the framework of the “Europe is Here” campaign launched by the Delegation of the European Union to Albania, the RYCO Local Branch Office in Albania was invited to participate and present during an Education Fair titled EU4Education on 3 November 2021. The fair took place at the premises of the Europe House in Albania and was dedicated to education by showcasing concrete opportunities and information offered to young students from various EU-funded projects, organizations as well as public and private universities.
The fair was attended by the RYCO Communication Assistant Ms Dea Elmasllari, EC Project Assistant Ms Eleni Nanaj and the RYCO Local Program Officer Ms Flutura Brakaj, where they presented the “Super Schools: Western Balkans School Exchange Scheme” and the “Enhancing Youth Cooperation and Youth Exchange in the WB6” project, both projects co-funded by the EU.
The official opening remarks of the EU4Education Fair were delivered by the Head of the EU Delegation to Albania Ambassador Luigi Soreca. He highlighted the concrete opportunities offered by the EU for young people in Albania, concluding his speech by inviting all youth to visit the fair and get to know more about being part of the EU-funded programs.
The RYCO stand at the fair welcomed hundreds of enthusiastic Albanian students, pupils, high school teachers, and other interested individuals by informing them of the current programs and opportunities that RYCO implements with the support of the EU.
In addition, RYCO Local Program Officer in Albania Ms Flutura Brakaj took part in the live streaming of the event where she held a short presentation to introduce the latest RYCO program to the wider audience, the SuperSchools project.
