PODGORICA – Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Montenegro Mr Edin Koljenović met with the newly appointed Director of the Directorate for Sports and Youth of Montenegro Mr Vasilije Lalošević on Tuesday, 4 February.
Mr Koljenović introduced Mr Lalošević to the work and functioning of RYCO as well its ongoing activities, focusing also on the successful previous cooperation of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Montenegro with the Directorate of Sports and Youth of Montenegro. He expressed his wish for productive cooperation to continue in the future, underlining that Montenegro will play a key role in chairing the RYCO Governing Board in 2021.
“The chairmanship in the RYCO Governing Board is a great opportunity for Montenegro to continue its path of showing devotion to youth-related topics and bringing added value to the functioning of this important regional intergovernmental structure,” Mr Koljenovic pointed out.
Mr Lalošević emphasized his conviction that every aspect of social life can only be enriched with progressive ideas of talented people stating that RYCO is an example of this philosophy. He stressed out that the Directorate for Sports and Youth of Montenegro will continue to show cooperativeness and support towards RYCO as a great regional initiative.
“In the following period, the Directorate for Sports and Youth will work on upgrading the already developed strong cooperation with RYCO, all for the benefit of young people from Montenegro and the region,” Mr Lalošević concluded.
During the meeting, positive practices on youth empowerment and development were shared and a strong will for future cooperation was affirmed by both parties.
