RYCO Secretary General attended Human Capital in the New Growth Plan Conference in Tirana

RYCO Secretary General Albert Hani participated in a conference Human Capital in the New Growth Plan: Supporting the 5th Freedom, organized by the Hungarian Embassy in Tirana and Cooperation and Development Institute (CDI) Albania, delivering his speech on the topic of Youth and Skills. As a priority topic of the Hungarian presidency and in recognition of the need for the Western Balkans (WB6) to retain its human capital and youth in the region, this topic garnered significant interest among stakeholders from the business sector, government, civil society, media, and educational institutions.

During his speech, SG Hani highlighted the changing environment and the necessity for young people to adapt swiftly to the demands of the labor market by acquiring opportunities for reskilling and upskilling. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of recognizing and validating non-formal education as a crucial tool in enhancing the personal and professional growth of the young population. Furthermore, he advocated for the promotion of vocational training and education as essential components of the contemporary labor market.

During the panel, demography and digitalization topics were widely discussed, while business sector additionally highlighted their requirements and concerns related to the primary sector, other industries, and service providers.

While participating in local events, RYCO consistently strives to offer and incorporate regional viewpoint, bringing wider perspectives to the local communities. By participating in the event organized by RYCO’s friends and partners in Tirana, RYCO once again confirms its commitment to providing opportunities for Western Balkans youth and advocating for prosperity of WB region.
