RYCO Secretary General, Albert Hani, participated in the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the Berlin Process that took place in Berlin on the 1st October 2024.
During the meeting, Ministers discussed the achievements and challenges of the Berlin Process, highlighting the 10th anniversary of this important platform of regional cooperation.
RYCO, as one of the most tangible results of Berlin Process, plays a crucial role in securing better prospects for the region, by fostering peace and reconciliation through youth cooperation. Youth is a driving force that leads towards stable and peaceful Western Balkans, and their will to cooperate and engage is clearly expressed through each program and activity that RYCO is conducting, which have been showcased through video presentation that participants of the meeting had an opportunity to see today.
Tackling these achievements, SG Hani highlighted that young people are aware of the shared concerns across the region, particularly regarding good governance and the decline in democratic standards.
“These challenges are not isolated to any single community or society. Despite the growing disenchantment with political systems, there is a tangible momentum—an opportunity to create a common WB reform agenda that bridges the divisions and contributes to stability. In this context, the European Union’s credibility and the prospect of integration remain crucial,” said RYCO SG Mr. Albert Hani.
