TIRANA – RYCO Secretary General Mr Đuro Blanuša met on Tuesday with the Ambassador of Poland to Albania H. E. Mr Karol Bachura when they discussed the possible ways of cooperation between RYCO and the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the framework of the next year’s Berlin Process summit. The meeting was held in the RYCO Head Office in Tirana.
Mr Blanuša presented the organization and its goals. He underlined the achieved results of RYCO such as the first Open Call for Project Proposals as well as the Strategic Plan that was published recently and created in cooperation with a number of stakeholders. Moreover, he updated the ambassador on the role that RYCO has played within the Berlin Process summits.
On the other hand, Mr Bachura pointed out that regional cooperation and reconciliation are the topics of the high importance for the Polish Government during the organization of the upcoming summit and said that RYCO, together with other regional initiatives, should play a key role in defining the summit’s agenda as one of the most tangible results of the Berlin Process. Furthermore, he underlined the importance of the Berlin Process for the European integration of the Western Balkans.
