The Head of the Local Branch of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) in Montenegro, Edin Koljenovic, and Program Coordinator Bojana Lalatovic, met with Miloš Radonjic, the Advisor to the President of Montenegro for European Affairs.
During the meeting, they discussed opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the RYCO office in Montenegro and the institution of the President of Montenegro, particularly in the context of European integration and greater youth involvement in this process.
Radonjic emphasized the crucial role that young people play in shaping Montenegro’s European future. Koljenovic presented RYCO’s ongoing efforts to foster mutual understanding, cooperation, and regional reconciliation in the Western Balkans, as well as current regional projects being implemented by the organization. He also shared RYCO’s future plans aimed at enhancing connectivity and experience-sharing among youth across the region.
The participants agreed on the importance of creating mechanisms that will contribute to better youth connectivity and the improvement of youth policies at both local and regional levels, especially within the framework of Montenegro’s European agenda.
The meeting highlighted the potential for joint cooperation, as well as the areas and initiatives through which the institution of the President of Montenegro, in partnership with RYCO, could support activities aimed at increasing youth engagement in societal processes and developing inclusive youth policies – recognizing the key role of young people in the European integration process.
