BELGRADE – RYCO Local Branch Officer in Albania Mr Kreshnik Loka took part as a panelist at the #OSCEyouth conference – Regional Connectivity & Millennials organized from 13 to 15 December in Belgrade. The conference gathered young people from the region but also from other parts of Europe in order to get e broader perspective on Millennials.
RYCO LBO in Albania participated in the panel “Youth in the Western Balkans: Break on through to the Co-operation Side” where he gave a general frame on current developments of RYCO while focusing on the first Open Call launched this year. He stated that the high number of organizations and high schools taking part in the project proposals as lead applicants or partners is just another sign of the readiness of these actors to cooperate and strengthen youth in the region. The panel continued further with discussions on the role of media in everyday life of young people and how can youth influence free media.
The conference served as the final event of the two years project “Enhancing regional connectivity among Serbia and Albania Youth Actors”. The project engaged more than 30 youngsters from Serbia and Albania in training on Digital Skills and Project Cycling. Moreover the participants had the opportunity to apply for small grants covered by the OSCE in order to have concrete projects designed by them. Therefore the OSCE financed four small projects that were fully implemented by the participants.
