RYCO and EYCA Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Youth Cooperation in the Western Balkans

Budva, Montenegro, 5 June 2026 — The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) and the European Youth Card Association (EYCA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing youth-focused initiatives across the Western Balkans.

The MoU establishes a framework for closer collaboration between the two organizations, with a shared commitment to promoting youth participation, regional cooperation, mobility, and opportunities for young people in the Western Balkans. Through this agreement, RYCO and EYCA formally recognize their ongoing partnership and express readiness to continue working together on matters of mutual interest.

The cooperation will focus on several key areas, including strategic alignment, joint trainings, promotion and visibility, research, and information-sharing. Both organizations will also work toward strengthening their representation among Western Balkan stakeholders and European Union institutions.

As part of the agreement, RYCO and EYCA will hold regular meetings to discuss joint priorities, including regional project proposals, areas of intervention, and approaches that contribute to youth cooperation in the region. The MoU also foresees the organization of joint events aimed at promoting both organizations’ work, presenting joint activities, and building trust among relevant stakeholders.

Through continued dialogue, joint activities, and shared expertise, RYCO and EYCA reaffirm their commitment to building a more inclusive, connected, and opportunity-driven future for young people across the region.
