The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Serbia as a Local Branch Office Program Assistant (LPA). In this role, you will support the smooth implementation of regional youth initiatives by providing essential programmatic and administrative assistance.
Position: Local Program Assistant
Contract Duration: 8 months with the possibility of extension
Work Base: RYCO Local Branch Office in Serbia, Belgrade, Serbia

About the Role:
As Local Program Assistant, you will be working closely with the Head of the Local Branch Office in Serbia and the Superschools Project Manager based at RYCO’s Head Office in Tirana, you will play a key role in the “Superschools” project, a flagship initiative co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and implemented by RYCO in cooperation with GIZ. The project promotes youth cooperation and stronger education systems through a regional school exchange scheme across the Western Balkans.
Main Responsibilities:

Support overall project implementation in coordination with Project Manager and Head of LBO Serbia

Assist in monitoring and evaluation of project activities

Liaise with project representatives to ensure timely and aligned implementation

Support local program activities in line with RYCO’s Strategic and Operational Plans

Contribute to preparation of annual and periodic program reports

Conduct field visits for project planning, implementation, and monitoring

Maintain organized archives of program documentation

Assist in planning and implementing RYCO grant scheme activities

Support capacity building and other RYCO activities within the Contracting Party

Collect and prepare relevant materials to support program design and visibility efforts

Contribute to external communication content (photos, videos, texts)

Collaborate with Grants Unit, Finance, and Communications teams

Perform other tasks as required by RYCO’s scope of work
