The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) is looking for a motivated Local Program Officer in Montenegro to support the implementation of the School to School exchange project, co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. About the Role:
The Local Program Officer (LPO) will assist Head of Local Branch Office in Montenegro as direct supervisor and Project Manager in RYCO’s Head Office in the implementation of the School to School exchange project co-financed by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ. In addition, the LPO will assist in the implementation of RYCO programs, projects and administrative activities with a special focus on RYCO’s grants. His/her principal role is to assure the provision of support and assistance to the Project Manager and the Head of Local Branch Office in all aspects of project management. The Local Program Officer will report directly to the Head of LBO and will be functionally supervised by the Project Manager. All duties performed by the Local Program Officer will be in line with RYCO rules and procedures, as well as donor requirements
Main Responsibilities:
• Support the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities in coordination with the Head of Local Branch Office and Project Manager;
• Assist supported projects to ensure activities follow agreed plans, timelines, and donor requirements;
• Provide operational, administrative, and coordination support for RYCO programs, grants, meetings, events, and stakeholder engagement;
• Support field visits, capacity-building activities, documentation, archiving, and preparation of reports, analyses, and planning materials;
• Contribute to visibility and outreach through communication content, activity documentation, photos, videos, and written inputs;
• Work closely with RYCO teams, including Grants, Finance, and Communications;
• Perform other duties related to RYCO’s scope of work as needed.
