More than 100 young people in Kosovo* attended RYCO Coffee Talks in 2022

RYCO LBO Kosovo concluded yesterday the last RYCO Coffee Talks event, which was held in the municipality of Dragash. Around 50 participants living in the region of Dragash, coming from different ethnicities, attended the event in which it was discussed about the participation of young people in regional and international mobility projects.

The event was hosted by Local Program Officer Mr. Ramadan Sokoli with the participation of Head of RYCO LBO Kosovo Ms. Krenare Gashi Krasniqi and Ms. Mimika Dobroshi, Coordinator of Erasmus+ Office in Kosovo. Participants could learn more about mobility opportunities RYCO is offering for the young people in the region, as well as learn about many possibilities to study abroad with Erasmus+ projects. This was the last event of the RYCO Coffee Talks, a series of discussions organized by RYCO LBO Kosovo throughout the whole year in 2022.

The first "RYCO Coffee Talks" meeting was held on August 17, where 43 young people from Gjilan, Vitia and Kamenica had the opportunity to talk with the Ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Mr. Jörn Rohde and The Temporary Ambassador of France in Kosovo, Mr. Francois Cyprien.

The topic of discussion was "The Franco-German reconciliation process: a model to follow in the context of the Balkans Western?”. In partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, the second RYCO Coffee Talks was held in August with the minister, Mr. Hajrullah Çeku. This event gathered 37 young people in Pristina who debated directly with Mr. Çeku about maximizing the potential of young people in the face of current crises which the young people of Kosovo face. In total, more than 100 young people attended these events, in which they got to learn about the work of RYCO and the thematic areas on which the organization is working.
