Open Calls: Local Peacebuilding Workshops for Youth from Kosovo*, North Macedonia and Serbia

WESTERN BALKANS – After they successfully completed the Training of Trainers, and to utilize their newly gained skills and knowledge, expand the ypeer network among their groups and promote best innovative ideas of peacebuilding, the Western Balkan youth are organizing local workshops in Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia. The workshops are organized with the support of RYCO and UNFPA within the joint UN-RYCO project supported by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund.

1. Local Workshop in Kosovo

2. Local Workshop in Serbia
  • Name of the workshop: “Learning About and with Conflicts”
  • Dates: 1st Workshop 13 – 14 November; 2nd Workshop 20 – 21 November; 28 – 29 November
  • Location: Online-via zoom.

The local workshops are planned to be organized in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, too. Additional information on these workshops will be published soon.

The workshops are undertaken in the framework of the “Supporting the Western Balkan’s Collective Leadership on Reconciliation” project that aims to empower young people in having their voice heard in public decision-making processes that affect their lives, as well as strengthen their role in building and maintaining safe and peaceful environments for themselves and their communities.


*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
