RYCO Launches First Research Project on Dealing with the Past

PODGORICA – RYCO organized a preparatory meeting of the first research project on the topics of dealing with the past in the framework of the first youth exchange projects supported by RYCO. The meeting took place on 17-18 July in Podgorica, Montenegro. Six researchers and youth workers gathered to explore ways in which they identified approaches to the topics covered by the projects.

“RYCO supported projects are thematically related to intercultural dialogue and learning and to participation and social cohesion”, RYCO Program Officer Ms Bojana Bulatović underlined at the meeting’s opening.

She added that the research on several supported projects is essential for RYCO in order to understand and contribute to quality of youth exchanges and tackling sensitive topics related to dealing with the past.

Ms Bulatović concluded that RYCO wants to improve the ways of supporting youth exchange organizers through future grant schemes and their capacity building.

The event is implemented in cooperation with the Crossborder Factory and with support of Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ/DFJW) and the German Federal Foreign Office.
