PRISTINA – RYCO Secretary General Mr Albert Hani and the newly appointed RYCO Deputy Secretary General Mr Denis Piplaš had a series of meetings with partners and stakeholders in Pristina during Tuesday, 21 September.
The meetings were organized during the first official visit of Mr Hani in his capacity as RYCO Secretary General to Kosovo and of Mr Piplaš in his capacity as the new RYCO Deputy Secretary General aiming to present RYCO’s plans for the upcoming period, discuss opportunities for joint approaches towards resolving the main challenges of youth in the region and develop institutional and organizational excellence for RYCO.
Mr Hani and Mr Piplaš were welcomed by the Local Branch Office in Kosovo and together with the Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Kosovo Ms Krenare Gashi Krasniqi and the Youth Representative of Kosovo in the RYCO Governing Board Mr Edis Prapashtica they had the opportunity to discuss future plans and prospective cooperation with representatives of the government as well as other local and international partners.
During their stay in Pristina, separate meetings were organized with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo Ms Liza Gashi, Director of the Department of Regional Relations of Kosovo Mr Albinot Bimbashi, German Ambassador to Kosovo H.E. Mr Joern Rohde, French Ambassador to Kosovo H.E Ms Marie Christine Butel, Advisor for Cooperation and Cultural Activities at the French Embassy in Kosovo Mr Donato Giuliani, and Political Advisor in the Cabinet of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Ms Dorotea Deshishku.
The importance of reconciliation in the region was in the focus of these meetings as well as RYCO’s future plans in connection with this important task. The officials emphasized their support towards regional cooperation and further institutional development of RYCO, and asked RYCO to continue with the commitment to stick to the mandate upon which RYCO was establishment.
