Superschools Exchange at the British Gymnasium of Technology in Pristina

On February 12th, 2026, an official visit took place as part of the Superschools exchange program at the British Gymnasium of Technology (BGT) in Pristina. This exchange is part of the Superschools partnership between BGT and the Gymnasium of Mostar under the “Green Code: Youth for Climate and Tech Cooperation” initiative. The program fosters collaboration between students from both cities to address environmental challenges through technology.

A total of 26 students participated in the exchange, working together on projects that involved building eco-websites, exploring robotics, and developing innovative tech solutions aimed at combating climate change.

The official visit featured speeches from Mr. Hubert Perr, Head of EU Cooperation in Kosovo, and Dardana Fetahu, Acting Head of the Local Branch Office. Both speakers emphasized the critical role youth exchanges play in promoting regional cooperation, reconciliation, and mutual understanding among young people across the Western Balkans.

Dardana Fetahu shared her message: “Dear students, please remember that behind this meeting and collaboration of yours, there is a mission behind. We want you to work together, as we truly believe that when you meet and see how similar you are, the stereotypes and tensions will lessen. I really wish you that.”

Following the speeches, students from Mostar and Pristina showcased their projects, including eco-websites they had developed during the exchange. These projects demonstrated the power of technology in advancing sustainability and climate action. Some notable projects presented included:

  • “Ecoflare” – Rubik Dula, Aid Steta, Amil Beśo
  • “Ecovironment” – Lina Bunjaku, Hanna Ljevo
  • “ShareNest” – Vesa Halimi, Stina Shala, Lana Jugo

A symbolic highlight of the visit was the planting of three trees in the school yard, named “Trees of Friendship.” Before planting, students shared the importance of trees for the environment. This act of environmental stewardship will be mirrored when students from Pristina visit Mostar at the end of March.
