WESTERN BALKANS – RYCO, GROUPE SOS Pulse, the South East European Youth Network (SEEYN), the Institut Français and the Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO/OFAJ) are announcing the selection of six local structures for the implementation of the WB6 Lab project.
Local structures, selected among 45 applicants from the Western Balkans, will contribute to opening new spaces of reconciliation for the region’s youth through social entrepreneurship. They will deliver a support program, composed of an ideation phase and a regional incubation phase and will assist the development of a total of 72 early stage impacting projects.
The program aims to enable young project leaders to develop innovative solutions to the challenges facing their communities and to enrich the regional social entrepreneurship ecosystem. This support program for social entrepreneurship will be implemented in two cycles.
FINAL LIST OF Selected Local Structures
On the occasion of publishing the list, RYCO Secretary General Mr Đuro Blanuša pointed out that RYCO is looking forward to working with the selected local structures on bringing the young people of the region together through social entrepreneurship.
“We strongly believe that true cooperation in the region is possible only when you start connecting people from a number of different fields. Social entrepreneurship is certainly a good opportunity for creating a better region for all of its citizens,” Mr Blanuša underlined.
Executive Director of Groupe Sos Pulse Mr Kevin Goldberg agreed and added that getting those six new partners on board is a very important step taken towards powering up social innovation in the region.
“We are very much looking forward to this collaboration and mutual support that will take the youth towards a more sustainable, inclusive and reconciled society,” Mr Goldberg emphasized.
SEEYN Executive Directress Ms Mirela Rajković said that a prosperous and peaceful region is possible if we raise a generation which has a vision of economy through social lenses, where economical activities will also contribute to social justice and be an engine of sustainable development and progress.
“In these terms, we are glad to start partnership with Local Structures from the SEE region and enlarge our team with people who believe in a better region and youth as main drivers of the progress,” Ms Rajković concluded.
The WB6 Lab project consortium welcomes new forces in their goal to open new spaces of reconciliation for the youth of the Western Balkans through social entrepreneurship.
