RYCO in BiH Meets Youth Advisory Group at OSCE Mission

SARAJEVO – RYCO Local Branch Officer in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ms Berina Bukva participated at the Youth Advisory Group (YAG) at the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting was opened by the Head of Mission Ambassador Bruce G. Berton and Ms Željka Šulc, Spokesperson of the Mission.

In opening remarks, Ambassador Berton stated that OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina cares about youth voice and youth presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the presence of RYCO in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.

The meeting was focused on future YAG planning and self-evaluation of the implemented activities. After the presentation of experience of present YAG members, Ms Bukva briefly presented and emphasized the presence of RYCO Local Branch Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She also shared information about ongoing RYCO activities, information on the First Open Call, the importance of the support and ongoing dialogue and partnership with the OSCE Mission as well as possible briefing and consultation sessions with the Mission in Sarajevo.

Moreover, she invited YAG members to reach out to RYCO Local Branch Office whenever they have concrete and relevant findings in working processes regarding youth mobility, intercultural dialogue and generally, youth related issues.  With this, OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to support and highlights the importance of the future cooperation for improvement of youth voices and presence in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

* Youth Advisory Group at the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina was established in 2014 and will provide input into the implementation of the Mission’s current programs, with the aim of the strengthening its youth perspective.
