RYCO and OSCE Mission to Skopje Continue Strengthening Capacities of High Schools and CSOs

POPOVA SAPKA – The RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia together with the OSCE Mission to Skopje organized the fifth in a row project proposal training with the aim of building capacities and strengthening the knowledge of high school and civil society representatives in project design and implementation.

The training took place in Popova Sapka, North Macedonia, from 6 to 8 October and brought together 22 high school teachers and civil society representatives of diverse backgrounds, who came prepared and ready to learn more about developing successful project proposals.

During the training, the participants also improved their understanding of intercultural education, reconciliation, youth participation, and social inclusion. It was beneficial to them to ask all of the important questions on how to develop a project idea, how to plan and set up goals by applying the S.M.A.R.T. technique as well as how to draft and plan the project budget.

On the first day, the RYCO Local Program Officer Ms Tanja Paneva, and OSCE National Programme Officer Ms Jasmina Todorovska Miteva, welcomed the participants and emphasized the important role they have as teachers and civic activists in their daily work and communication with youth. The training continued with program-related content and the participants had a practical assignment to start developing a concrete project idea by using project templates to precisely structure all of the stages of project planning.

In continuation, RYCO Finance and Administrative Officer Mr Aleksandar Kostadinov gave a presentation on drafting and creating a project budget with all of the related financial project procedures. The participants were also informed about the ongoing open calls and project application opportunities at RYCO.

The OSCE Mission to Skopje is a great partner and supporter of the work of the RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia and all of our joint efforts are aimed at increasing youth engagement and cooperation within the region.
