RYCO and Erasmus+ Offices in Montenegro to Work Together

PODGORICA – Head of the RYCO Local Branch in Montenegro Mr Edin Koljenović met National Erasmus+ Coordinator Ms Vanja Drljević and Representative of the Erasmus+ Office in Montenegro Ms Rina Muhaj in the premises of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Podgorica on Tuesday, 12 April. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss on-going activities and potential cooperation between the two offices.

Mr Koljenovic presented the key achievements of the RYCO in the field of youth mobility and cooperation, as well as the ongoing regional and local programmes and activities that are in focus of RYCO in Montenegro. He put a strong focus on the partnerships with international stakeholders that have been forged in Montenegro since the very beginning of the LBO establishment, and which resulted in a series of opportunities for young people. He highlighted the ongoing Youth Talks that took part in Herceg Novi bringing together 30 young people from Boka Kotorska Bay and EU Member States’ diplomats, while also announcing the upcoming Youth Talks that will happen in Berane, Bijelo Polje and Ulcinj in the next months.

The Erasmus+ Office has shown the interest in cooperating with RYCO as it recognizes it as one of the key regional initiatives in the field of youth cooperation, mobility and reconciliation.

Ms Vanja Drljević presented the work of the Erasmus+ Office and the ongoing activities that will focus on Erasmus+ programme cycle and the Open Calls for Applications, inclusion of youth with disabilities in Erasmus+ mobility programme, promotion of the EU cultural/art aspects in the framework of Jean Monnet programme, Voational Education and Training opportunities, etc.

During the meeting, concrete models of joint work have been identified, especially in the light of the Europe Month Programme Agenda developed by the side of the Erasmus+ Office in Montenegro that will create opportunities for youth engagement and participation.
