Western Balkans, Friday 19th December – Representatives of governments and youth from WB6 gather together in 27th RYCO Governing Board Meeting to evaluate achieved results and discuss priorities and upcoming activities for the year ahead. GB Meeting, that took place online, marked an important milestone in the organization’s governance and strategic planning cycle.
The meeting was chaired by Minister Cheku and Youth Representative Donika, and with this session, the chairmanship of Kosovo* officially concluded. As part of the meeting’s decisions, Montenegro took over the Chairmanship for the coming year, ensuring continuity in leadership and governance.
During the meeting, the RYCO Secretariat, led by Secretary General Vladimir Obradović and Deputy Secretary General Kreshnik Loka, outlined the key focus areas, priorities, and planned activities for 2026, presenting the framework through which RYCO will continue to support youth cooperation across the Western Balkans. The Governing Board endorsed these directions through the adoption of the Operational Plan for 2026, as well as the approval of the corresponding Budget, reaffirming its commitment to the organization’s planned work and strategic direction.
This session also represented the first Governing Board meeting held under the new leadership of RYCO, following the appointment of the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General in September. As such, the meeting marked the beginning of a new institutional phase, setting the foundation for strengthened coordination, implementation, and strategic oversight in the year ahead.
