About the Role:
The Research Evaluation and Learning (REL) Manager will oversee research, evaluation, learning, and knowledge management processes within RYCO, while also serving as a knowledge hub for the development of new projects and ideas.
The REL Manager will be responsible for strengthening the use of RYCO’s organizational knowledge, overseeing the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Framework, supporting research and learning activities, and contributing to the preparation and development of project proposals based on RYCO’s Strategy.
The position reports directly to the Deputy Secretary General.
Main Responsibilities:
- Evaluate RYCO programs and operations;
- Oversee the implementation and follow-up of RYCO’s M&E Framework;
- Support staff in conducting monitoring and evaluation activities;
- Ensure the successful implementation of M&E systems, research, and learning activities;
- Strengthen knowledge management and the functionality of RYCO’s internal learning centre;
- Conduct research to support the development of new projects and programs;
- Translate research, evaluation, and learning into useful organizational knowledge and strategic inputs;
- Provide the Management Committee with relevant research and evidence-based inputs.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a professional with a strong background in research, monitoring, evaluation, learning, or knowledge management who can turn complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least six years of professional experience in research, monitoring, evaluation, learning, knowledge management, or program quality.
Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, M&E/MEAL frameworks, data analysis, evidence-based programming, and organizational learning is essential. Experience working in multicultural environments and knowledge of regional cooperation, youth participation, social cohesion, and reconciliation processes in the Western Balkans are also important for the role.
