RYCO Meets UN Resident Coordinator in Montenegro

PODGORICA – RYCO Secretary General Mr Đuro Blanuša and RYCO Local Branch Officer in Montenegro Mr Edin Koljenović met on Thursday in Podgorica with United Nations Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative to Montenegro Ms Fiona McCluney. Possible ways of cooperation between the organizations that interlocutors represent were discussed at the meeting.

Mr Blanuša and Mr Koljenović presented the process of development of RYCO, the achieved results, as well as the recognized challenges for the upcoming period. Moreover, they underlined the RYCO strategic planning process that will determine particular directions for further development of RYCO in the upcoming years.

Representatives of the UN in Montenegro pointed out their activities related to youth and youth issues with a focus on certain regional initiatives. The areas for potential cooperation were identified, especially in the areas of ​​using online platforms and new technologies, as well as other digital trends that are in the focus of the UN towards achieving the Millennium Goals.
