RYCO Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Institute for Youth Development KULT

SARAJEVO – RYCO and the Institute for Youth Development KULT signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Sarajevo today to formalize cooperation and work jointly on improving the position of young people in the Western Balkans, especially in the areas of youth mobility, reconciliation, and international youth cooperation.

“The idea of regional cooperation, dialogue, and youth work existed before the establishment of the RYCO. For this reason, we recognize the importance of all those actors who have been actively and for a long time working on it and can be our partners for a better region. The Institute is a credible partner and a significant resource of experience. I believe it will contribute to the quality of our work in both Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans,” RYCO Secretary General Mr Đuro Blanuša pointed out and emphasized the importance of cooperation and connecting young people in the region, especially within Bosnia and Herzegovina itself.

“For more than 17 years, the Institute has been working on policy development on youth issues, improving the position of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while in the last years we have been working in partnership on the region level. We sign the agreement with RYCO today because we want to transfer our knowledge and experience to the Western Balkans,” Institute’s Executive Director Mr Jasmin Bešić said and added that he is particularly proud and pleased with the fact that there is an institution such as RYCO.

Following the signing of the Memorandum, RYCO and the Institute will discuss joint initiatives to be implemented in the future, most of which will benefit young people from the Western Balkans.
