TIRANA – RYCO Secretary General Mr Đuro Blanuša and Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Albania Mr Kreshnik Loka met with the recently appointed Head of the OSCE Presence in Albania Mr Vincenzo Del Monaco and Head of the Democratization Department at the OSCE Presence in Albania Ms Sihana Nebiu, on Tuesday, 4 February.
The meeting focused on the impacts of the pandemic to the work of both organizations and discussed the importance of strengthening their cooperation.
“We see the OSCE Presence as our neighbor, not only because we used to sit in the same neighborhood at our offices in Albania, but because of the strong and ongoing partnership we have established,” Mr Blanuša emphasized.
Mr Del Monaco complimented RYCO on the work done and emphasized the fact that RYCO and the OSCE Presence in Albania will continue working together on joint issues.
“After all, security starts from young people,” Mr Del Monaco concluded.
During the discussions, Mr Loka took the opportunity to also present the planned initiatives that both organizations aim to jointly implement this year, one of which will be a continuation of the successful program of “Youth Trail”.
The meeting was the first of many more to come for enhancing the solid partnership and cooperation between RYCO and the OSCE Presence in Albania.
