Western Balkans – The Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO), in collaboration with Bürger Europas e.V. and supported by the German Federal Foreign Office, is thrilled to announce the selected participants for the international youth exchange “Being Active – The Participation of Young People for a Democratic Future.” This initiative, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Berlin Process, will bring together 30 young leaders from the Western Balkans, along with participants from France, Poland, and Germany.
The program, designed to empower youth voices in local politics and civil society, received an overwhelming response from young changemakers across the Western Balkans 6 region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia). After a highly competitive selection process, the winners were chosen based on their commitment to making a lasting impact on their communities and their engagement in political, cultural, or social initiatives.
The program will culminate at the prestigious WB6 Youth Forum 2024, held on 13-14 October, in the margins of the Berlin Process Summit. This signature event provides an invaluable platform for young people to engage directly with high-level decision makers, share their perspectives, and contribute to the EU integration process for the Western Balkans.
