North Macedonia PM: RYCO is Important Regional Mechanism for Connecting Youth

SKOPJE  –  Prime Minister of North Macedonia Mr Zoran Zaev hosted RYCO Secretary General Mr Albert Hani in a meeting which took place on Monday, 12 July, in Skopje.

At the meeting, which was attended by Advisor for Youth and Youth Policy in the Office of the Prime Minister Mr Gjorgi Tasev, Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia Mr Vladimir Gjorgjevski and Youth Representative of North Macedonia in the Governing Board Mr Blazen Maleski, North Macedonia PM Mr Zaev congratulated RYCO Secretary General and wished him a successful mandate in implementing and coordinating regional programs for youth.

He added that achieving maximum mobility and connecting young people in the Western Balkan region is a necessary precondition for reconciliation, cooperation and joint future.

Furthermore, Mr Zaev underlined that the government of North Macedonia, as a signatory of the agreement for the establishment of RYCO, will continue to actively support the work of the office, as the first and most concrete product of the Berlin Process and an exceptionally important mechanism for connecting youth of the region. 

In continuation, RYCO Secretary General pointed out that the government of North Macedonia is an active and key supporter of RYCO’s work in the region and that some of its youth policies have been taken as an example for addressing young people’s needs and priorities in a successful manner.
