VELES – The RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia together with the OSCE Mission to Skopje organized the sixth in row project proposal development training aimed at building capacities and strengthening the knowledge of high schools and CSOs so they are well prepared to apply for RYCO and other donors’ projects.
The training took place in Veles, North Macedonia from 22 to 24 of November. The group of participants consisted of 21 high school teachers and civil society representatives of diverse backgrounds, who came prepared and ready to learn more on how project proposals are being developed. During the training, participants also improved their understanding of intercultural education, reconciliation, youth participation, and social inclusion.
This training was very beneficial for participants as they had a chance to learn more about developing the project logical framework, planning and setting up goals by applying the S.M.A.R.T. technique, and how to draft and plan a project budget.
On the first day, RYCO Local Program Officer Ms Tanja Paneva and OSCE Mission to Skopje National Program Officer Ms Jasmina Todorovska Miteva, welcomed the participants and emphasized the important role they have as teachers and civic activists in their daily work and communication with youth. The current projects and work of RYCO were presented in details with the encouragement for participants to share the information within their local communities, so the information can reach all of the interested young people. In the next days, the training continued with program-related content when the participants had a practical assignment to start developing a concrete project idea by using project templates to precisely structure all of the stages of project planning.
The OSCE Mission to Skopje is a great partner and supporter of the work of the RYCO Local Branch Office in North Macedonia and all of our joint efforts are aimed at increasing youth engagement and cooperation within the Western Balkans region.
