PRISTINA – RYCO Deputy Secretary General Mr Fatos Mustafa and Head of the RYCO Local Branch Office in Kosovo Ms Krenare Gashi-Krasniqi met on Tuesday with the recently appointed Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport of Kosovo Ms Vlora Dumoshi when they discussed the organization’s activities and the government’s support to its work.
RYCO representatives congratulated Ms Dumoshi on her appointment and informed her about the activities of the RYCO and the projects it has so far supported including youth organizations and high schools in Kosovo and across the region.
Mr Mustafa urged the Minister for her support in RYCO matters. “RYCO sees all the Governments of the Western Balkans, including the Government of Kosovo, as of high importance in joint progress,” RYCO Deputy Secretary General underlined.
The counterparts specifically discussed the policies, programs and priorities that the Ministry will have in the youth field which is considered an important sector for Kosovo, but they also discussed the regional youth cooperation.
Ms Dumoshi informed the representatives of RYCO that youth will be among her priorities during her mandate. She confirmed her full support and commitment to the youth sector and pledged to cooperate with organizations dealing with youth issues, including RYCO.
She also thanked the representatives of RYCO for the work done so far and called for even greater engagement for more youth outreach and activities. The Minister also underlined that Kosovo’s youth, as well as Kosovo, should be represented in a dignified manner in all regional initiatives.
